Isola Bianca’s labels figures rabbit and dog assassins, a typical example of drolleries, bizarre figures that appeared and decorated the margins and initials of illuminated manuscripts in the Gothic period. Harmless creatures become hunters, warriors and even vindictive torturers holding spears, axes and swords with the dexterity of knights: An upside-down world that was largely popular in the XIII and XIV centuries and that was also a tribute to the amanuenses’ ironic mind.

In 2016, the estate and winery were taken over by Terra Moretti, the holding owned by the Moretti family. The family business is managed by a beautiful and talented Francesca Moretti.
